There is no question that the client's needs drive the creative project solution. And out of these needs come project requirements. Good, complete, detailed requirements that need to quantify, qualify, and identify what the client needs to achieve and what you need to do to get them there.
So the big question is - what do you use to capture those requirements? A cloud-based requirements capture and management tool specifically designed for that purpose? A desktop package? A spreadsheet? MS Word or similar word processing software? A piece of paper (I hope not!)?
Once captured, what do you do with them? Store those requirements in an online project knowledge data base? Store in a collaboration tool? Create a requirements traceability matrix for tracking and ensuring that you've designed the creative solution to match the client's needs? Store in your desk drawer (again, I hope not!)?
